I want much more than this provincial life!

First happy new year all!

I like to do a lot of marker work , it's nice to have that finished piece of paper in your hand rather than some file laying on your desktop. It seems to give me a greater sense of accomplishment rather than just photoshopping it to perfection. Plus there's something to be said about the good ol' undo function. I guess you have to think about your lines and plan out the drawing more. Most of these are from my sketch book.

Watching that "Diamond in the rough" special on the Aladdin DVD and sketched up an Andreas Deja who was supervising animator on Lilo, Jafar, Gaston, Hercules, scar, Roger rabbit, king triton and yeah. tried to give a Jafar costume just from memory since the DVD was over. meh
So The school's been open for the past couple of weeks even though classes and exams are officially done for the year so a couple of us guys decided to spend about 8 hours a day just watching Disney films and analyzing the animation and compositions. As of today we've watched Beauty and the Beast 11 times. Needless to say.....

hopefully we'll be able to dance down the halls and be able to reenact some of the musical sequences

we really want to do that Gaston song!

over and out!

I find the elephant head very expressive. Then all the sketches, a good perception on the details of human body movements.
But my favourites are The Beauty! And The Beast! I love the story, love the animated film, love your drawings of them characters, they look alive and really expressing their feelings of happiness, joy, wonder in the case of The Beauty or self-ironic kind of funny defeat in the case of The Beast.
The only thing I find difficult to follow is reading the pink text on the black backgound of your blog... hey, but that's just me, a bit short-sighted person :)
Keep up the good work, you've been blessed with a special gift!
